Consequently, their bond has become all frosty. Fanning the flames, royal author Thomas Quinn claims that the King has had enough. He told The Mirror, “Charles feels he has made a huge effort to repair his relationship with his son.”
However, Prince Harry just won’t give an inch, prompting Charles to switch gears. “The new plan is to take a harder line with Harry, a move from good cop to bad cop,” Quinn added. However, folks close to the palace agree that Charles has had it up to here. “He wants to reconcile with Harry, but nothing he does seems to work.” Furthermore, the royal watcher believes the root of the problem goes back to the Duke’s childhood. He revealed, “One underlying problem is that Harry was never really that close to his father as a child.”
He explained how the royal staffers looked after Prince Harry most of the time back then. The royal was just shuffled between Diana and Charles. Meanwhile, Fans had hoped Harry and Charles would reconcile when Harry visited the UK earlier this month, but they never crossed paths.
The spokesperson for Prince Harry revealed that the British monarch was too busy to see his son. The statement read, “It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.” They added that Harry understood the situation and hoped to catch up with Charles soon. But guess what? It later appeared that His Majesty had offered to meet up, but Harry turned down the offer.
According to The Sunday Times, King Charles even asked Harry to stay in a royal residence during his visit. Unsurprisingly, the US-based royal opted for a hotel instead.
