EXCLUSIVE: Princess Kate is not expected to attend this year’s Trooping the Colour.
Trooping the Colour will take place on Saturday, June 15, and Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6, could make a special appearance.
Marlene Koenig, author of Royal Musings, told Daily Express US that King Charles will most likely arrive by carriage with Queen Camilla, which would be the perfect way for the Wales children to join in the festivities.
Ms Koenig said: “I have this lovely little feeling, that perhaps, the carriage will include the king and queen and the three grandchildren.
“Normally, it was mom and Camilla and the three children, but since Catherine is most unlikely to be at Trooping, is that they will be with their grandparents, which would be really cute, really sweet.”
Little Louis even gave a salute from the balcony
Charles has expressed interest in riding horseback at Trooping the Colour, also known as the King’s Birthday Parade, which he did last year, but it is ill-advised because of the high temperatures during the summer months.
Ms Koenig said of the decision-making: “Everything is on a day-to-day basis, basically, which makes perfect sense, considering he is recovering from cancer.”
Ms Koenig believes the royal doctors will say “no” to the king’s request and does not expect to see Charles on horseback this year.

The General Election is scheduled to take place on July 4, which means the next six weeks will be fairly quiet for the royals, but Trooping the Colour will go unaffected because the event is run by the Ministry of Defense, said Ms Koenig.
Both King Charles and Prince William will refrain from carrying out any royal engagements that could distract from the General Election, it’s being reported.
